I walked into the room after walking in the cold to the warmth and greeting of a beautiful smile. THe room smelled of sweet vanilla and soothing lavender. The lights were dim and her voice calm. Immediately I felt relaxed and comfortable. Tiffany sat me down and we talked about possible areas of weakness and desired pressure and so forth. She was attentive and extremely knowledgeable. Her energy, tranquil making me feel completely at ease.
What really got me was that she asked whether I was much of a talker while getting a massage. I'm more of the type that prefers not to talk about my day or current events...um...I'm trying to escape all that...but I often feel obligated to say something to the therapist - kind of get to know them a bit. Tiffany assured me that I should not feel required to talk if I don't want to talk and that, hey, if I do want to talk, she'd be more than happy to chop it up, but that was to be my choice. I really appreciated the gesture.
She started off gentle and progressively increased the pressure, paying deep attention to my bodily reactions. Ever watch the movie What Women Want with Mel Gibson? There is a sex scene in the film, where Mel Gibson having the inside track to the woman's thoughts catered to her every whim...well, this wasn't sex (though I would...nah, I'll keep this PG :-)) But I felt as though Tiffany was in my head, reading my thoughts and catering to my every need! I guess that comes with the extensive experience she has, but I think there is more to it. She is so amazingly intuitive and that can only be possible if you devote yourself wholely and completely to what it is you're doing. I know that is what makes Tiffany so special.
She really does spoil me and I would recommend her to EVERYONE in the Bay Area who is looking for a retreat, treat closer to home.
